In the deepest, darkest forest under a full moon, the earth was churning, rumbling, silent. As the shrine arose from the earth, so did a coffin. The coffin, deep in the shrine, opened silently, and in the coffin, wrapped in bandages with its arms crossed, sat the mummy.
As it slowly stood, it muttered a few unearthly words, and then, without a sound, its feet lifted from the ground, not yet flying but levitating as it observed its surroundings. It floated out of its tomb to the world beyond.
Then he remembered all the years he spent locked away were for a reason. The gem. He had to find it before sunrise or he'd be locked away for another century.
As he levitated out of the tomb, he muttered another sentence causing five hands to unearth themselves. They were brown, and flesh was peeling off in chunks. They knew their purpose, to create a path for their monster.
As they crunched through the woods knocking down trees and clearing bushes, the mummy ordered them to stop. Silent suddenly, a branch cracked, and dark shapes were darting along the outskirts of the path. The mummy wondered, "Are these the guardians of the gem?"
He finally got a good look at one as it flashed under the moonlight, werewolves. Deadly creatures, merciless as a wolf, yet smart as a man. The biggest one, probably the leader, spoke. "We guard this gem with our lives, we aren't easily beaten." The mummy started murmuring, chanting, and then, out of nowhere, sand came up twisting and turning, forming into a twister, sucking up the wolves, whipping them around and slamming them into trees, knocking them out cold. The ground rose up, forming a spire with the gem on top. It was swirling with sapphires as he grabbed the gem, the sun rose.

Luke is not the brightest child in the world, I wouldn't even call him kind of smart. One day, he was at his school and wandered off out to the woods, and he found a small shelter. He was very tired after his adventure, so he went inside to take a nap.
***
He woke up, and it was all different. His shelter, he found, no longer had a rotten wood floor. Instead, it had a metal floor. The walls, no longer logs. He saw someone in a white outfit. It seemed to him he had a gas mask. Then he noticed the tubes connected to him. The Gas Mask Guy was now staring at Luke. Until Luke could not see him anymore, nor could he see anything. Luke lost his feeling, and lost his strength.
***
After Luke could see again, he was no longer Luke. He could only think of one thing, who he was. Then he saw the tubs again, and himself, and saw no Gas Mask Guy, but he saw something on the walls, and on the ceiling. Then he could think again. His mind burst in thoughts. What is that? Why am I here? Where is the scientist? Then he got up. He pulled out the tubes, and he screamed in pain. Not a child's scream, a mutant's roar.
His body flopped to the bed, and rolled off the bed. He wasn't fully evolved, so he was a terrifying creature. He got up, puking out a green substance. He tried to walk over to where the scientist once was. He fell to the ground, hitting his deformed knee. He tried to get up and walk once more, and the second he stood full on his leg, he screamed in pain and flailed to the ground. He cried out for help, but his voice was not English, it was kind of like a raspy noise. He crawled to the bed, and climbed back onto the bed. Then he saw not one scientist, but many. His mouth was covered by a rather large scientist, then the rest of the scientists jabbed the tubes back into him.
***
He woke up, crying out in pain, but a childish cry, then he saw his class lining up. He sat up, and sprinted to his line. Everyone looked at him, but no one cried or screamed in horror. He took a look at his arms and legs, and saw his human body again.

From that day on, Luke did not DARE to wanter off again, afraid that his curiosity would take over.
Gena and her Journey by Cecelia P. M.
Once upon a time, there was a witch. It was a nice witch, her name was Gena. Gena was in danger. Gena is sixteen and lives alone since her parents had passed away. She always took a walk when she fell down.
Next morning...
Gena went to school. It was her first day. She was worried about how people would think about her. She may be a witch, but she looked like a human because her dad was a human. It's funny how that happened but her mom was beautiful and that one man didn't care. Back to Gena. So Gena went to eh school. She saw people who looked nice and people who looked mean. She backed away from the mean ones. The nice one came towards her so they talked for a while.
They they talked about the pumpkin patch. The story only happens at midnight but the story is, that one day in a pumpkin patch, a witch named Aggy was picking pumpkins at midnight when she looked up and saw someone. She walked towards the person and suddenly, he was gone. She looked behind her and BAMM! She was taken but the person only was attracted to witches. That's why they took Aggy...
Next day...
The cool girls were blocking the entrance and saw Gena. They knew she was a witch, so they dared her something. It was to go to the pumpkin patch and if she didn't, they would carry her there. So Gena did it.
Next day...
Gena skipped school for the dare and went to the pumpkin patch. She was there until...MIDNIGHT... She was scared. She wanted to leave but it was just for thirty more minutes so she stayed. She saw a person. She backed away but it was gone. She was a goner, but she turned around and saw his face. The man looked scared but asked Gena to be his friend. Gena was confused but she said yes and they were friends forever.

One dark and scary Halloween night, Mr. Hyde the zombie was just relaxing in his laboratory not knowing what would happen this dark and scary Halloween. My Hyde the zombie decided to go and make some potions with his cat Dr. Jeckyll. He made one potion that his cat and he both drank. Then he got this tingly feeling in his body and his cat started to get tall and look more like him. But then he started feeling like he was getting smaller and fuzzier like his cat. Then he realized his cat and he transformed into each other. Then they charged back into themselves after five minutes. He had realized that if two people drank the potion at the same time, they would transform. He has just found out transformation!
He started to sell the potions but he started to realize that people were transforming into more than one person. So he sold them only to people that would come to his house and buy them. Only a few people knew where he lived. In the end, he stopped selling them because too many people found out where he lived and came to his house. So he made a giant monster and locked him up. The next day when someone came, he had to the monster drink the potion as well as him. When he answered the door, they screamed because he had transformed into the monster. Days went by without anyone coming. In the end, he was happy because he lived a happy oh and don't forget peaceful life.
Halloween Story by Mia P.
Once there was a ghost who roamed a graveyard. His name was Crockle. He didn't get many visitors, only the black cat and the night watchmen.
Meanwhile, Sophie and her friends were getting dared to go to the graveyard on the night of the full moon. Sophie and her friends were really scared to go because there might be coyotes there. Finally, the night they'd been dreading. As they slowly inched into the graveyard, they saw a white silhouette shape roaming the graveyard. It looked like a ghost to them. So they screamed, running away behind one of the huge stones.
Slowly, they crept back out of the shadows to find a ghost. They seemed curious so they didn't scream or run. They said hello to the ghost. In their heads, they were thinking, "We've made a discovery." Crockle was very friendly because he hadn't had any friends in a long time. They started talking to each other and became friends. Sophie and her friends decided not to tell their friends. So they went home.
